Two of our employees have decided to raise money for Cancer Research by running Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy 5k on July 21st. Both Bryony and Naomi have been affected by cancer in some way, so we asked Bryony if she could write a few words about why she’s running.
I’m Bryony! I’m 22 and I am the happy bubbly Senior Buyer at Oakenhurst Aircraft Services! I have had the honour of working at Oakenhurst for 5 years.

I have decided to take part in the Race for Life this year as this is something that is very close to my heart, I have sadly had family members suffer from this horrible disease. Many people around the world are affected by cancer on a day to day basis so I feel it is my duty to do my bit for collecting donations and taking part in the run.
I currently train 2 days a week… which is good for me (I hate exercise haha). I train by going for a run before work around my home town, it’s nice to get out so early in the morning, especially this time of year. I’m actually really excited for the run, I’ve never participated in the mud run before but have heard it’s really fun. And both Naomi and I are hoping for the same thing, a mud fight at the end!
Please be kind enough to donate, its highly appreciated!
There’s still time to donate to the cause if you haven’t had a chance yet. Every donation, no matter how small, helps in the fight against cancer. Please donate at https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/oakenhurst. To keep up-to-date with Bryony and Naomi’s progress, follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
