Current Vacancy

Job Description: Aircraft Component Technician

We currently require a full-time permanent engineer within our Interiors, Communications & Navigation Division. The candidate must be compliant with PCB electronic component fault diagnosis techniques down to discreet component level. Some of the units repaired within the division are as follows:

  • Avionic Equipment
  • Multi-Functional Touch Panels & Switch Boxes
  • In-Flight Entertainment accessories
  • Navigational Components & Flight Deck Instrumentation
  • Interior fluorescent & LED Lighting
  • Crew Headsets and Cabin Handsets
  • Automated External Defibrillators
  • Air Data Computers

Job skills, experience and qualifications:

The applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience within the Aviation industry is preferred but not essential as we may consider candidates from other industries with similar skills with the purpose to cross train into the aviation industry
  • Experience in engineering
  • Experience in electronics and PCB fault finding techniques

Job Information:

  • Salary range is available upon receipt of application
  • 28 days PA Holiday starting entitlement (Includes bank holidays)
  • Based at Oakenhurst HQ in Rayleigh, Essex
  • Extra holiday rewards can be earned by sick free years and length of service
  • Working hours 08:00 to 16:30 Mon-Fri with half hour lunch break
  • Pension and Long-term illness/death in service scheme

We currently require a fulltime permanent technician within our technical workshop areas covering Flight Power & Electro-Mechanics, Galley Accessory and Rail Support Divisions. The candidate ideally should be compliant with PCB electronic component fault diagnosis techniques down to discreet component level. Some of the units repaired within the shop are as follows:

  • Starter Motors
  • Windshield Heat Controllers
  • Flight Deck Windows/transparencies
  • Linear Actuators
  • Static Inverters
  • Ovens
  • Water Boilers / Coffee Makers 
  • Generator Control Units
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Retractable Landing Lights
  • Rail Fire Suppression racks
