Peter CaudellChairman
Peter is the founder of Oakenhurst Aircraft Trading and Oakenhurst Aircraft Services. In his 30+ years building the company Peter has strived to offer the aviation market a quality service in the supply of aircraft parts and subsequently the repair of these components. Peter spent his early years travelling the world as a licenced aircraft mechanic and finally settled down in the Crawley region. Peter has always enjoyed skiing, staying fit and socialising with friends.
Charlie ParkerManaging Director
Charlie along with Dave Lund joined Oakenhurst in January 1997 as the Electrical Workshop Manager, and during his 20 years with the company has progressed to the position of Managing Director. Charlie started his aviation career back in 1985 working for British Air Ferries at Southend Airport where he gained a lot of experience and knowledge about aviation and in particular component repair. Charlie has two grown up children and spends some of his valuable spare time watching rugby union and football but his big passion is playing tennis, too often according to his partner Gill.

Gareth began his career at Oakenhurst in May 1997 as the Instrument workshop supervisor. After 13 years as the workshop supervisor and some restructuring internally Gareth took on a new challenge in becoming the Production Foreman. Gareth held this position before becoming the General Manager for Oakenhurst in 2017. Outside of work Gareth plays golf (badly) and enjoys attending football games to watch the team he so passionately supports. Gareth is also the proud father of 3 grown up children and very much enjoys social activities and events, meeting new people and participating in social chatter which, according to Gareth’s better half is something he relishes!

Today, Karen manages the commercial department, overseeing the purchasing, third party and customer service team helping to ensure our customers receive a quality service. In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing with a good book.

Ian is a bit of a daredevil which has taken him to great heights with skydiving, wing walking and mountain biking in the Austrian Alps. Ian lives locally in Leigh-on-Sea with his wife, son and newly born daughter (May 2018) and enjoys football, cycling and visiting tourist attractions in his spare time.
Steve RollsQuality Manager
Steve started with Oakenhurst in March 2017 and is currently celebrating 30 years in aviation! Experienced in both Heavy/Line Maintenance, Engine Workshop and Component environments, he made the change to Quality Assurance a number of years ago and has enjoyed the education that has come with the transition. In his spare time Steve is a classic car enthusiast, and travels to shows all over Europe with his family in their classic Volkswagen. Sometimes they even get there without a breakdown! Other pastimes include fishing, golf and cooking.
Sanja BenakFacilities & Accounts Manager
Sanja joined Oakenhurst in November 2012 as a MRO Administrator and after 5 years progressed on to becoming the Senior MRO Executive. The daily tasks being performed quickly developed and in December 2018 Sanja progressed into the position of MRO and Customs Team Leader. With Sanja’s previously obtained qualifications in accountancy it had always been a passion for her to eventually work within finance and in February 2020 the opportunity arose and Sanja became the Facilities & Accounts Manager of Oakenhurst. As Facilities & Accounts Manager, Sanja manages the day to day financial aspects of Oakenhurst, overseeing accounts, payroll and the upkeep services of our UK facilities. In Sanja’s spare time she loves watching soaps, who says they are not real life!

Emma ParkerCompliance Officer
Emma has worked at Oakenhurst since November 2010. She first started in purchasing as a Buyer but now operates as our Compliance Officer monitoring conformity with EASA Part 145 and Part 21G. Emma’s role includes carrying out supplier audits, internal audits and assisting in the continuous improvement of the Oakenhurst quality system. In her spare time, Emma enjoys playing grand strategy games and RPG’s on PC, reading epic fantasy novels and watching anime. Emma’s passions outside of work also extend to listening to rock/metal music, growing vegetables and spending time with her three dogs, Wilson, Gryphon and Boadicea.

Ken BensonDivision Supervisor (IC&N)
After 24 years in the Royal Navy as a radar engineer, Ken started a new career in avionics. A founder member of the team that grew Oakenhurst out of “The Avionics Workshop” in 1997. Ken helped Dave Lund set up the Radio workshop and after over twenty years is now the supervisor of the I.C.&N. division. Recently “single again” Ken has two grown-up children and a young son. He spends most of his spare time on Rock & Roll and Cars. Ken has learnt to jive and attends many dances and Rock & Roll weekenders. Ken also owns two PT Cruisers and a 1960 Ford Consul which he hopes to restore.

Billy LanderDivision Supervisor (Flight Power & Electro-mechanics)
Billy joined Oakenhurst In October 2013 as a Skilled Engineer. Today Billy supervises the Flight Power and Electro-Mechanical Division, overseeing the day to day running and ensuring all work is carried out and completed to the high standards that have made Oakenhurst what it is today. In his spare time he enjoys playing and watching Rugby, Fishing, Cycling and socialising with family and friends.
Dave WrightDeputy Workshop Supervisor
Originally joining Oakenhurst as a Skilled Engineer in August 2010, Dave has worked hard on increasing his knowledge and capabilities enabling him to progress on to becoming a Senior Approved Engineer. As well as this, he is now one of the organisation’s deputy Supervisors. Dave’s passion for aviation also carries over into his spare time as he is a qualified pilot holding a PPL. He also likes to keep fit and work out, plays lead guitar in his band, “The Out Outts”, and enjoys spending quality time with his daughters and family.
Daniel ParkerDeputy Workshop Supervisor
Daniel joined Oakenhurst in September 2010 as a school leaver and started his four year engineering Apprenticeship. Throughout those four years Daniel successfully achieved his BTEC in engineering and his HNC in electrical/electronic engineering. Since completing his apprenticeship Daniel has progressed to Senior Approved Engineer and is one of Oakenhurst’s deputy Supervisors. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing the slopes, skateboarding halfpipes, dog walking and watching football.

Dave LundProjects Manager
Dave was a founding member of Oakenhurst back in 1997 and remains an active member of the management team. Dave originated his career as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, went on to receive a university degree, and was later awarded the Licentiateship of City & Guilds. Dave is also a current member of British Mensa. Dave continues under his role as Projects Manager. His focus is to grow the company’s capability, discover solutions to problems and move the company forward in an ever changing world. In his leisure time Dave enjoys travelling, reading, fine dining and enjoys lifetime membership of the National Trust.

Tony DixonR&D Supervisor
Tony first joined Oakenhurst in August 2007 as a skilled Engineer within our Flight Power division. After developing his knowledge of aviation components, Tony transferred to our Research & Development division due to his expert knowledge within the electronics field as the R&D Supervisor. His prior experience within Flight Power has enabled Tony to apply his skills into the maintaining and manufacturing of varying types of test equipment to assist and support Oakenhurst’s ever expanding capabilities. Tony also works closely with our supporting departments such as Quality, Projects and Commercial to ensure client capability requirements can be met. In his spare time Tony enjoys electronics, horticulture, numismatics and philately.

Michael CrampClient Relationship Manager
Mike started at Oakenhurst in November 2019, having worked in sales within the MRO industry for Brammer. Mike meets with customers to learn about the problems they might have or improvements they’d like to make, to then work alongside our customer support team to provide solutions and capabilities that best suit them. In his off-time, Mike enjoys his sports, in particular watching football and playing golf as well as spending time with his Family and friends. He also likes his holidays and getting away and enjoying the sun.

Sasha joined Oakenhurst in 2017. Lesley CallaghanCustomer Support Executive
Lesley joined Oakenhurst in 2018 and now assists the team with their account management. Lesley also provides administrative support to the Engineering and Commercial Teams. In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with family and friends, shopping with her daughter and long walks with her dog.

Lauren joined the Oakenhurst Family in early 2020 and carries out our repair management operations.

James MartinGroup Communications Officer
James started with Oakenhurst in April, 2019. He manages every aspect of our online marketing and designs and develops our material for events and internal use. He uses his experience in government communications to ensure good communication both externally and internally, ensuring that the content we produce is high quality like our other services. In his spare time, he enjoys both playing and listening to music and conducts a youth brass band. He is also an avid photographer and videographer.

Bryony CronkSenior Buyer
In July 2014, Bryony joined Oakenhurst as a Buyer and has since successfully progressed to the position of Senior Buyer. In her senior role, Bryony manages the department whilst overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of required spares and maintains our minimum stock levels. She is also responsible for continually obtaining the best prices and lead times of component spares, ensuring that Oakenhurst can provide a competitive service and support for its clients. In her spare time she enjoys long dog walks around nature areas and a Friday night with a glass of red wine and Pizza.

Naomi HockleyAdministrative Assistant
Starting with Oakenhurst in October 2017, Naomi operated within our Administrative team, supporting our workshop divisions and office departments with general administrative duties. Since joining, Naomi’s role has developed with responsibilities evolving to include being a member of our Placement Training Team which involves the overseeing and support to student work placements and company apprentices.  In her spare time Naomi enjoys taking her dog for a walk, eating out, watching TV and going to festivals.
Louise HarmsworthAdministrative Assistant
Louise joined Oakenhurst in July 2018 as an Administrative Assistant operating alongside the rest of our administration team. Since joining, Louise’s role responsibilities have expanded to include support and assistance to all of our general office departments. In her spare time Louise likes going out with friends, following and playing cricket, watching Netflix and going on holiday.

Francismara GenoveseTechnical Publications Administrator
Francis first joined Oakenhurst in November 2017 on a temporary contract to assist our Quality assurance department in the setting up of all Technical Publications data within a single computer database system. Francis was moved onto a permanent contract and started the position of Technical Publication Administrator in February 2018. Francis moved to the UK from Brazil and is multi-lingual, speaking Portuguese, Spanish and English. In her spare time she enjoys painting, reading, travelling and cycling.

Sarah HorneAssistant Accountant
Sarah started in May 2007 within our finance department in the position of Assistant Accountant. Sarah oversees the day to day budgets concerning internally raised and externally received invoices. Reporting directly to the Facilities & Accounts Manager, she is in constant contact with other departments such as Commercial, Purchasing and Sales. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family (mainly her dogs), watching TV (every minute of the day usually), reading, and drinking wine.

David DawsonHuman Resources Consultant
Due to business growth, in July 2014 Oakenhurst’s human resource needs were outsourced to David who operated as a remote HR consultant. David worked remotely maintaining our organisation’s HR requirements until the need for on-site representation arose. David now works as our HR consultant on-site managing all aspects of our HR, ensuring that the needs of both the employee and employer are met. In his spare time David enjoys cooking and watching live sport as well as music and art.
Joanne FieldCalibrations & Records Administrator
In October 2016 Jo joined Oakenhurst’s administrative team as an Administrative Assistant. Danny AllenLogistics Manager
Danny joined Oakenhurst as a Stores Assistant in November 2016. Since joining Danny has successfully taken his company authorisation for Supplementary Inspector approval and has also gained his DGR approval. Progression saw Danny obtain promotion to Stores Supervisor in May 2017 and has since achieved further promotion to Logistics Manager. In his own time, Danny enjoys going to the gym, watching football, and going to gigs.
Susan AllenLogistics Administrator
Susan started at Oakenhurst Aircraft Services as our Logistics Administrator in December 2016. On a day to day basis she liaises with both HMRC and our couriers, ensuring the smooth transition of parts and spares through the complex import/export procedures. When she’s not at work, she is interested in gardening and watching motor sports! And understandably, enjoys going on holiday.
